I started seeing Kate in my first trimester of pregnancy due to chronic back pain that was flaring up. Kate helped show me simple exercises and stretches that provided me with the extra strength and stability I needed to have a nearly pain free pregnancy! Even on days with pain, after a visit with Kate, I always felt so much better!

I worked with Kate to help me feel more consistently strong and stable in my squats, which had been challenging me for all the years I had tried barbell back squatting (about 8 years). They never felt quite right. I would have periods of what seemed like backward and forward momentum with them, which left me never making true progress with them. I had also noticed that my right side seemed to have more instability in single leg exercises. Kate helped me with mobility, activation, stabilization, and strengthening exercises. She always did a great job listening to my self-assessments and concerns, adapting my programming based on my feedback. Through video sharing, she would provide assessments and feedback as well. Her instructions were always thorough and easy to understand. During our time together, her knowledge, skill, friendly-demeaner, and encouragement helped improve my confidence.

I am happy to report that I gained strength and stability in working with her, and my progress became much more consistent and has remained that way for a nearly a year!

Working with Kate was a total game changer for me at a pivotal moment of my life.  She handled my particular issue/concern with a lot of care and a genuine desire to see me improve.  The exercises she gave me were very easily done at home, and she demonstrated each exercise as many times as I needed to make me feel confident.  She made sure that I was doing each exercise properly week after week, never making me feel stupid for doing something wrong the first few times, and always encouraging me to do one more rep and push myself as far as I could.  It was very clear that her goal was the same as mine - to improve the problem I was having and enhance my quality of life.  Not only was she professional and clearly knowledgeable, but she was the most kind and personable therapist I’ve worked with.  During our sessions, she asked me about my life and actually cared about what I had to say.  I came away from our time together not only feeling better physically, but grateful to have had such an emotionally positive experience with Kate as a person.  She truly cares for her patients, not in a superficial way, but in a way that only a special group of healthcare workers do.  It is obvious that she is in the right profession, based on both her demeanor and her knowledge, and anyone would be lucky and blessed to work with her!
